The century sports center is a gymnasium in China. It was built as a supporting facility for the twelfth games of the province in the year. Its main function is to replace and supplement the stadium which was later demolished. The opening ceremony of the twelfth sports meet is also held here.
The century sports center is located in Xincheng, a total area of 42 hectares, designed by GMP, Germany. Northeast side is the bridge, the west side of the block after the investment real estate and the development of cooperative development. The total investment of the project is 939 million yuan. The main facilities are stadiums and swimming and diving halls. The stadium is the main building of the sports center. The name "Century Lotus" comes from this stadium which looks like a lotus flower. The building area of the stadium is 78193 square meters, 50 meters high, and the diameter of the roof is 310 meters.
Its roof is membrane structure roof, the roof is circular, 310 meters outside diameter, 125 meters inside diameter. The inner ring is a tension ring consisting of 10 cables with a diameter of 8 cm. The outer ring is a compression ring, consisting of two layers, the upper layer is 310 meters in diameter, and the lower layer is 275 meters in diameter, which is composed of 1.4 meters in diameter. The two layers are 20 meters apart, and the middle layer is connected by oblique columns of concrete filled steel tube, forming an inverted circular platform.
The stadium has 36686 spectator seats. There are natural lawn standard football stadium, 400-meter runway, athlete training ground and other fields.
